Portland Ultimate Frisbee at Irvington Park
Ultimate Frisbee in Portland is huge and continually growing. The level of game play is everywhere from a fun game out at the park to a highly competitive level of game play. One thing that all levels of game play have in common is that everywhere you will find that the spirit of the game is always high and players are always respectful of each other. Not to say you wont hear the occasional heckle.
Some of my favorite Ultimate pickup games in Portland are in the Irvington and Buckman neighborhoods. Other fun pick up games are at Overlook Park, Sewallcrest and PSU pick up. There you will always find a fun game and a great bunch of people. Many times after the games you will find that the fun continues into a restaurant, pub, or the crowd meets back at a local players home.
Leagues are also popular in the Portland Ultimate scene. Spring and Summer leagues are mostly played at Delta Park or Ed Benedict field, where new skateboard park has recently been opened. Tournaments including LogJam, Kleinman, Against the Grain, and random Hat tournaments are great for local club teams to strut their stuff. PUFF has done an excellent job at organizing and keeping the Ultimate scene alive in Portland.

In my spare time I enjoy watching my beautiful boy grow, camping where you can\'t see civilization, giving star talks under a clear night sky, The White Album, brewing my own organic blueberry wine and Organic gardening. I have been living off of my Organic fruit and vegetable garden for the last 25 years. I don\'t go produce shopping for 8 months of the year. I also have some of the most healthiest and happiest chickens from which I get fresh eggs daily.
