Portland Wedding Dresses and Wedding Cakes. Marriage is for people who want to get married.
When I look around at all of my friends, I think… am I the only one still not married at my age… pushing 40? Maybe I don’t want to be married, ya that’s it, its too much work and planning and what do you get out of it besides stability, happiness, a foundation and continual love. Ahh marriage is for people who want to get married.
But after dating someone who loved to go into wedding gown shops, just to “browse”. I kinda started feeling the whole “marriage” thing as a possibility. One day while waiting in a huge line for Saburo’s sushi restaurant, we walked next door into Tres Fabu Bridal, in the Sellwood / WestMoreland neighborhood. It got me thinking, but mostly got my ex thinking… Maybe we should leave this place before ideas start popping up. Then we went into A Beautiful Bride in the Portland, NE Hollywood district. Oh My, she looked HOT when trying on some of those gowns.
And then she wanted to look at wedding cakes, we were only together for a year and now wedding cakes? Piece of Cake bakery making Vegan cakes in Sellwood. Then to Helen Bernhard Bakery in Irvington. Then off to Jaciva’s in the Hawthorne district. What was she thinking? Marriage? With Me? When I look back on our relationship, maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea, but all I can do now is look back. For my next relationship, I will be prepared.

In my spare time I enjoy watching my beautiful boy grow, camping where you can\'t see civilization, giving star talks under a clear night sky, The White Album, brewing my own organic blueberry wine and Organic gardening. I have been living off of my Organic fruit and vegetable garden for the last 25 years. I don\'t go produce shopping for 8 months of the year.
