In 1848, what we now know as the Woodstock neighborhood was complete wilderness until a family from Kentucky, The Kelly’s, came to Oregon to settle and escape Civil War. Around the 1880’s the plush fir forested area which is now Reed College became one of the first trails which led 5 miles into the “business” section of Portland.

Now, Woodstock, Portland, Oregon zip-code 97206 and 97202 is a thriving and charming scene with beautiful old homes of so many styles as well as newer more modern homes. The Rhododendron Garden – where in April you will see several hundred trusses of early blooming rhododendrons, and Woodstock Blvd. itself with pockets of great restaurants, cafes and mom and pop shops where locals support community effort. Woodstock Elementary school borders a beautiful park and offers a thriving Mandarin, Chinese Immersion Program, one of the most widely spoken languages on the planet.

Woodstock is bordered Richmond, Mt. Tabor, Powellhurst and Reed neighborhoods.

I have been living off of my Organic fruit and vegetable garden for the last 25 years. I don\'t go produce shopping for 8 months of the year. I also have some of the most healthiest and happiest chickens from which I get fresh eggs daily.
