Woodstock Elementary School in the Portland School District prides itself on its warm learning environment that helps foster maximum intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development, making it a great choice for a family thinking of moving to Portland. Located in the Woodstock neighborhood, It is the beginning school for the Mandarin Chinese immersion program and offers a wide variety of special enrichment programs throughout the year.
Parents and community volunteers assist in the community building within the school, serving as reading assistants, classroom helpers, clerical assistants and special project coordinators. Classroom grants make it possible to bring a yearly visiting teacher from China for the Mandarin Chinese program, and fine arts and PE classes are offered at every level.
Before and after school programs include tumbling team, Chess Club, Ethos Music instruction, Chinese Dance and Sports. YMCA provides childcare before and afterschool.
Woodstock Elementary was rated 8 out of 10 stars from the Great Schools website and received a 5 out of 5 rating from parents. The school is located at 5601 SE 50th Ave, Portland, OR.

In my spare time I enjoy watching my beautiful boy grow, camping where you can\'t see civilization, giving star talks under a clear night sky, The White Album, brewing my own organic blueberry wine and Organic gardening. I have been living off of my Organic fruit and vegetable garden for the last 25 years. I don\'t go produce shopping for 8 months of the year. I also have some of the most healthiest and happiest chickens from which I get fresh eggs daily.
