Hi, I'm Ali Jessie's mom. Ali sent me your website because she is hoping we will "retire to downtown Portland." We're undecided. We have lived in Sunnyvale CA for 34 years. Our friends and our other daughter Kristen live in the Bay Area (at least for now). But Ali lives in Portland (when she's not somewhere else in the world), so that is a big draw. Plus what we see of Portland we like. So we're thinking maybe we would buy a condo as a second home, or maybe we would move to Portland full time. Who knows. My question to you is, if we wanted to rent a place in downtown Portland for, say, three months, is that possible? We're thinking it would be a good idea before we make any decisions. We would want to do this during the worst weather months of the year, which for me is the "overcast" months, not the raining months. Looking forward to hearing from you.
