Last Thursday in Alberta Arts – Portland style!
Post # 15 of 101 cool Portland places. Last Thursday in Alberta Arts
The Alberta drag is full of great locally owned shops, restaurants, art galleries, coffee houses, bars, live music and brew pubs that line the main street. What better place to have one of the coolest monthly street fairs on? Welcome to Last Thursday.
Every last Thursday of each month Alberta St. turns into a public art show with booths that line the street from NE 15th to NE 30st. So many local Portland artists come out to display and sell their amazing creativity…whatever it may be. Everything from Pulli Pants by Jackie Karnes to awesome artwork by Chuck Bloom. You might see some DJ’s on the corner or inside a local venue shaking beats well into the night, maybe even a few fire walkers, food carts with a good burrito or Thai food, street performers on stilts or M4 throwing down great band-grooves for all to enjoy. In my opinion this street fair has just a tiny touch of a Burning Man-esque feel. Have you been?
A few Alberta St. hot spots are The Tin Shed and Garden Cafe, La Sirenita, Binks, Alberta St. Oyster bar and Grill, Vita Cafe, Alberta st Public house ( great live music), Thia Noon restaurant and of course… Zilla Sake. I’ve Seen HyDrive perform live there a few Thursdays ago.
When it happens to be the last Thursday of the month and you want to experience the wild side of Portland, grab a friend, wear something fun and creative and venture off to Last Thursday located in the Alberta Arts district. You’ll be glad you did.

Agent Profile
My introduction and education in Real Estate started back in college, 1989, in Los Angeles, California.
I chose to work with M Realty because of their top of the world technology and innovative home searching website unmatched anywhere in the US.
I enjoy meeting Portland locals and opening the door to so many different and unique homes to view. I also have been working with families relocating to Portland since day one as a licensed Portland Realtor. Having a vast knowledge of the Portland homes for sale, neighborhoods, schools, local places of interests and just an overall love for our city makes this job more of a passion.
My past working bio consisted of other interests within public relations:
An Astronomy educator for NASA and the Griffith Observatory.
President/CEO of AIRTIME BOARDS snowboard company.
Creator and author of KEVDIDDY children\'s music, books and videos.
In my spare time I enjoy watching my beautiful boy grow, camping where you can\'t see civilization, giving star talks under a clear night sky, The White Album, brewing my own organic blueberry wine and Organic gardening. I have been living off of my Organic fruit and vegetable garden for the last 25 years. I don\'t go produce shopping for 8 months of the year. I also have some of the most healthiest and happiest chickens from which I get fresh eggs daily.
It\'s a good day to live in Portland!
