Today I previewed homes for sale in Alberta Arts
Today we are previewing homes for sale in Alberta Arts.
I had a great day previewing the homes for sale in the Alberta Arts. The Bungalow’s and Craftsman homes were remodeled and landscaped beautifully. The 2 that I saw were around 1400 Sq. Ft. and very creatively designed with fully remodeled and open kitchens along with gleaming hardwood floors in the living and family room.

There were so many walkable places of interest and so many friendly neighbors that I was greeted by sitting on their front steps. I’ve spoken with many Portland Realtors and home owners who all have had many complimentary things to say about Alberta Arts including Portland’s famous Last Thursday street fair event, the Alberta Strip with it’s many restaurants, shops, boutiques and pubs. The homes for sale in Alberta Arts are affordable and well-built and in a desirable neighborhood.

If you are interested in viewing some of these finely tuned homes, please contact me anytime. I am a licensed fulltime Portland Realtor and I look forward to meeting you. 503-267-7535

Laurelhurst Park – The trees and pond and playground Oh Yeah!
Post # 30 of 101 cool Portland places The Laurelhurst Park.
I love the Laurelhurst Park for so many reasons. My last visit there I brought my guitar and just strummed away along the edge of the pond. The water looked a little murky but it just inspired me to write a dark and moody song. I also brought some food and had my own little picnic on the grass. The sun was shining and rollerbladers and bikers were everywhere.

There is a kids playground area, a birthday party spot near the bathrooms as well as a basketball and tennis courts. My friends and I will bring a disc and play a little bit of Ultimate Frisbee on the grassy field area. It’s the perfect spot to take a stroll around the pond, enjoy the views and walk your stressful work week away.
I give Laurelhurst Park in the Laurelhurst neighborhood two thumbs up,
and two legs up too while relaxing on the grass too.
In between SE Stark and Ankeney and between SE 33rd and 39th.
The Laurelthirst Pub – Live music, good food and great Beer.
Post #29 of 101 cool Portland places. The Laurelhurst Pub.
The Laurelthirst Pub in the Laurelhurst neighborhood is a great place to stop by after work, grab a beer, eat some good food and then just sit back, relax and listen to a local Portland band perform live music. One of my local favorites are the Freak Mountain Ramblers that perform every Sunday around 6:00. Check them out.

They have a great deluxe nacho’s plate, several awesome micro brew beers on tap and many locals that haunt this location. When I first moved to Portland, this was my very first place I walked into while staying at the Portland Hostel on Hawthorne. I lived in the Buckman neighborhood and walked to the Laurelthirst quite often as my new favorite pub. Enjoy and have an IPA on me.

MT. Tabor homes for sale
View Mt. Tabor Homes for sale
I recently viewed some homes for sale in the Mt. Tabor neighborhood in Portland Oregon.
I was excited about this viewing for Mt. tabor is in my neck of the woods, Inner SE Portland. We started off our home viewing near SE Belmont and 55th and saw a lovely 3 bedroom 2 bathroom bungalow. The basement level was fully finished to the nines and led out to the backyard which had planter box’s filled with organic vegetables. The living room had built-ins that were made with style and fit the home perfectly.
We then ventured off to the base of MT. Tabor to a luxury grand 5 bedroom home with over 4000 Sq.FT. and a spectacular view of greenspace and nature. Country living in the middle of the city. The kitchen was remodeled using high end appliances and solid granite counter top. The cooking area was open and free to be able to cook with the option to have many cooks in the kitchen. See below of all Mt. Tabor homes for sale.
Viewing Portland homes in Hawthorne and Sunnyside
I had a full day of viewing Portland homes for sale.
I stayed in inner SE Portland which included the Sunnyside, Richmond and Mt. Tabor neighborhoods all within the Hawthorne district. I saw some great bungalows and Portland Craftsman homes and I LOVE the creativity and unique charm each home owner boasts while previewing. Most of these homes were in the $300,000 and $400,000 price range. The remodeling is updated with energy efficient utilities and the color schemes are perfect. I viewed this one home in the Hawthorne district that had a Greek style waterfall oasis painted on the living room wall that covered most of the living room. Beautiful!
The Portland neighborhoods of Abernethy and Buckman were next on my list.
The backyards in some of these homes were great, including huge organic vegetable gardens and fruit trees, beautiful water features and chicken coops for morning fresh eggs.
Spacious yards with kids play structures and room for the dog was a common site.
Is a Portland Relocation on the horizon?
I look forward to working together and previewing some of these amazing homes with you.

The Hoyt Arboretum – West Portland’s living laboratory

Located in Washington Park in west Portland, The Hoyt Arboretum is a living laboratory full of over 1,000 plant species from around the world. Inside scientists, students, and lovers of nature can learn about plants that would otherwise not grow in this climate or even this hemisphere.

During National Forestry Week in 1928, the Forestry Committee of the Chamber of Commerce convinced the City Council to establish an arboretum in Washington Park to preserve evergreens for educational and recreational purposes., The Arboretum is now home to just under ten thousand individual trees and shrubs most of which are individually labeled to help those who are particularly interested in the plant. Despite its relatively young age, the Arboretum possesses the largest group of distinct species of any arboretum in the U.S
