Victorian homes for sale in Portland Oregon – Victorian houses

Many Victorian homes are built in the late 1840′s – 1900′s. Portland Victorian style homes start around 1880′s. Victorian is a blanket term that covers many different homes styles.  Gothic Revival, Italianate, Second Empire, Stick Style, Eastlake Victorian, Folk Victorian and Queen Anne are all architectural styles in the Victorian vein.  Because there are so many different styles of Victorians it is hard to pin down characteristics that fit all of them. Since the invent of cars has not happened yet, many Victorian homes do not have garages. You might also notice many Victorian houses have many fireplaces since wood burning was a main source of heat.

Search for City Center, Southeast and Northeast Victorian homes in Portland.

I’ve had the pleasure of walking into many of these uniquely built Victorian homes for sale and it is fascinating to walk into these bedrooms knowing generations of families lived inside of them. The only downside I’ve seen of a few of them are the lots that were subdivided and more modern homes were built next store.

Please call me to view any of these Victorian homes for sale: 503-267-7535
