People’s Farmers’ Market – People’s Co-op
Post # 44 of 101 cool Portland places – People’s Farmers’ Market – People’s Co-op
When I’m in the inner Southeast Abernathy/Clinton neighborhood and in need of some healthy, organic and local items, People’s Food Co-Op is just what the Dr. ordered. But, one of my favorite things about People’s is the Farmers Markets they have every Wednesday. Tons of booths offering some of the most tasty locally grown produce you can imagine as well as locally made items, fresh honey, varieties of mushrooms and some finely crafted home-made beers and wines. I also love the People’s Annual Harvest Festival and Craft Fair. Live Music, Beer, Kombucha, Cider Pressing, Sqaure Dancing, Pie Eating Contest and more. The farmers market is YEAR ‘ROUND, every Wednesday 2-7pm.
” People’s commits to a model of human cooperation, focus our energy on building community , revitalizing our local economy, and promoting healthy connections to our bio-region and the earth. We realize these goals through conscious product selection, mindful business practices, and the fulfillment of cooperative principles. Because People’s is owned by the community and not by an individual, they can genuinely focus first on our customers and the services that they provide for them, not on the profit we make from them. ”
Spring time has a wide selection to choose from. Check out our farmers for strawberry, peas, mustard greens, lettuce, arugula, chard, spinach, morels, rhubarb, red Russian kale, nettles, dried hot peppers, mustard greens, lettuce mix, chard, baby daikon, broccoli raab, collard tops, parsley, arugula, Japanese turnips, mixed greens, leeks, beets, spinach, carrots, potatoes, honey, garlic, dried persimmons, homegrown and wild-crafted mushrooms, fresh eggs and more!

Craftsman style houses
Another common design development arising from the class-shift of the time was the built-in “breakfast nook” in the kitchen. The dining room and living room has cabinetry that often consisted of built-ins , which gave home designers the opportunity to incorporate wood and glass craftsmanship into the public aspects of the home, and box-beam ceilings are common too. The Craftsman homes for sale in Portland have that unique style that many people are searching for, as well as Victorian homes for sale in Portland

Movie Madness- The most extensive library of older titles anywhere
Post # 43 of 101 cool Portland places – Movie Madness
I remember my first time walking into Movie Madness I felt like I was walking into a Hollywood wax museum. This place is filled with great costumes, artifacts and pictures from the stars of the past and present. But of course, it’s all about the movies.
Movie Madness got its start in the early 90’s with just 200 titles, specializing in rare and hard to find movies. Today they have over 70000 videos and Movie Madness has a huge selection of blockbusters, cult favorites, music videos and the most extensive library of older titles anywhere. They have the largest selection of Classic Films, Film Noir, Independent Films, Gay & Lesbian Films, Foreign Films, Art House Films, Television, Anime, and of course Psychotronic Films in the Northwest. I’ve literally spent an hour just browsing up and down the isles forgetting my original movie title of renting.

Agent Profile
My introduction and education in Real Estate started back in college, 1989, in Los Angeles, California.
I chose to work with M Realty because of their top of the world technology and innovative home searching website unmatched anywhere in the US.
I enjoy meeting Portland locals and opening the door to so many different and unique homes to view. I also have been working with families relocating to Portland since day one as a licensed Portland Realtor. Having a vast knowledge of the Portland homes for sale, neighborhoods, schools, local places of interests and just an overall love for our city makes this job more of a passion.
My past working bio consisted of other interests within public relations:
An Astronomy educator for NASA and the Griffith Observatory.
President/CEO of AIRTIME BOARDS snowboard company.
Creator and author of KEVDIDDY children\'s music, books and videos.
In my spare time I enjoy watching my beautiful boy grow, camping where you can\'t see civilization, giving star talks under a clear night sky, The White Album, brewing my own organic blueberry wine and Organic gardening. I have been living off of my Organic fruit and vegetable garden for the last 25 years. I don\'t go produce shopping for 8 months of the year. I also have some of the most healthiest and happiest chickens from which I get fresh eggs daily.
It\'s a good day to live in Portland!
