Peacock Lane – The holiday spirit comes alive in Portland
PEACOCK LANE: If you are looking for a great place to view the excitement and energy of the Christmas and holiday cheer, check out Peacock Lane. Full of holiday lights covering homes, trees and front lawns and many home-made decorations that drape the street, Peacock lane is perfect for the kids, grandparents and everyone in-between. The neighborhood tradition kicks off with a pedestrian-only event 6-11 p.m. Regular hours are 6-11 p.m. Dec. 16-31 with lights staying on until midnight Dec. 24 and 31. On certain days I’ve driven the street to view this Portland attraction.
Peacock Lane (SE 40th) is between Stark and Belmont and located in the Hawthorne District.
I had the enjoyment of walking down the street on one of Portland’s snow days, which just added to the spirit and look of everything. Cold ears, hot chocolate animated reindeer’s and flashing lights created a fun and lasting memory for me.
Bring the family and I will see you there.

Portland Farmers Market – Organic! Local! Fresh!
The Portland Farmers Market is the group name given to a variety of markets located throughout the Portland Metropolitan Area. The original Saturday Market, located on the Portland State University Campus is consistently rated as one of the number one farmer’s markets in the country and that dedication to quality can be seen at any of the market locations.
Two different markets spring to life every Thursday. The Ecotrust Market is located in the Pearl District and boast a distinctive trendy urban flair that is most certainly a byproduct of its posh surroundings. Housed inside the Ecotrust Building, is open from 3:30 pm until 7:30 pm June through September. In stark contrast, the Eastbank Market is much more family oriented. Located in Southeast Portland on SE 20th at Salmon between SE Belmont & SE Hawthorne in the Buckman Neighborhood, this market is a meeting place for the community where the locals are as interested in hearing the local gossip as buying organic lettuce. Eastbank is open May through September from 3:30 pm until 7:30 pm. There is also the farmers Market at the Peoples Co-Op at 3029 SE 21st, the Montavilla farmers market on SE Stark that promotes and supports local farms, organic producers and artisans in a way that strengthens the community.
The Saturday Market, held on the South Park Blocks of PSU is a jumble of every edible you could possibly want from chocolate to wine and of course fresh produce. The market is open year round and is mostly open from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm. The King Market is open on Sundays in King Neighborhood to give those in North or Northeast Portland a chance to find quality produce closer to home. As the newest market, it is still developing its own identity but it is being bolstered by the local community It is open from May through September every Sunday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. The Downtown Market open Wednesdays April through October has more of an urban feel. Located at Salmon and Main in Downtown Portland it is a staple of downtown and always full of business people grabbing a healthy lunch or doing some shopping between meetings.
The Portland Farmer’s Market is always changing and growing as well as hosting special programs and events head to portlandfarmersmarket.org to see what’s happening. The headquarters of the PFM are located at 240 N Broadway in Northeast Portland in the Elliot Neighborhood.

Agent Profile
My introduction and education in Real Estate started back in college, 1989, in Los Angeles, California.
I chose to work with M Realty because of their top of the world technology and innovative home searching website unmatched anywhere in the US.
I enjoy meeting Portland locals and opening the door to so many different and unique homes to view. I also have been working with families relocating to Portland since day one as a licensed Portland Realtor. Having a vast knowledge of the Portland homes for sale, neighborhoods, schools, local places of interests and just an overall love for our city makes this job more of a passion.
My past working bio consisted of other interests within public relations:
An Astronomy educator for NASA and the Griffith Observatory.
President/CEO of AIRTIME BOARDS snowboard company.
Creator and author of KEVDIDDY children\'s music, books and videos.
In my spare time I enjoy watching my beautiful boy grow, camping where you can\'t see civilization, giving star talks under a clear night sky, The White Album, brewing my own organic blueberry wine and Organic gardening. I have been living off of my Organic fruit and vegetable garden for the last 25 years. I don\'t go produce shopping for 8 months of the year. I also have some of the most healthiest and happiest chickens from which I get fresh eggs daily.
It\'s a good day to live in Portland!
